Merry Christmas!
We have our Christmas tree up and other decorations. As you can see, I have four nutcrackers. There are three on the book shelf. (Nutty,Lenny, and David.) And one behind the rocking chair. (Grandpa.)
Those presents are for me from some distant relatives. I've been guessing what they could contain. My guesses are: a necklace, socks, booties(mum's guess), an ornament, and there's one more but I have no clue. I guess I'll find out on Christmas!
I'm so excited. Jared and Melissa keep teasing me that they already have my present. But Mum and Dad haven't Christmas-shopped, yet. And K.C. got a one-gift-thing for everybody, except my two nephews will be too young to enjoy it.
We have snow and ice. And slippery ice at that.
My Nephew, Gordon, will have a great time this year. He is 18 months, so he can appreciate Christmas.

My paper clip earrings!
My friend's sister made me some earrings!! Ain't they beautiful?
I used to believe that I wasn't born with pierced ears. But now I know that you have to go somewhere and pay like $20 to have pretty ears...but using paper clips is much cheaper. =)
My Dad says that I can't get my ears pierced unless he does it. In fact, I had a dream that Dad pierced my ears and everything was just fine. So maybe I'll trust dad to pierce my ears for me. What do you think I should do, have my dad pierce my ears or keep the clip-ons?

How the Weather Efects Jack
On cloudy days Jack tends to be depressed and he sleeps all day. Jack gets cold easy on these days. So when it's cold, cloudy and rainy, we have to wrap him in his blankets and set a space heater in front of him.
I think there is even a change of rain today. So poor me, too. because it'll up to 60F out and I can't enjoy it.
Jack just woke up so I have to take him out to so he can do his morning business.

Cool bible passage
Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgment of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than the honey and the drippings from the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward.
I think this is my new favorite bible passage. I like the ones where they have rhythm because then it's a little easier to memorize.

A New School Year
When I'm eighteen I want to work at the health food store so this year I'm going to study Botany. The book is set at the fourth grade level but it's really detailed so I'll learn alot. Then the rest of my school books were downloaded from The Puritans' Homeschool Curriculum.
I love my new locker!
I am very excited about my new school year!

Beautiful Sunset
Isn't it beautiful? If the telephone poles/lines and the hurricane fence wasn't there then it would probably look like a painting.

Some school I want to show you
James and the Giant Peach is an exciting 126 page adventure fiction set in England, by Roald Dahl.
James' parents were killed when he was just four years of age. He was then sent to his Aunt Sponge's and Aunt Spiker's home. There, he was badly treated and beaten for no apparent reason.
One day, he was sitting in the garden and an old man came to him from out of the bushes. The old man gave him a bag of green stuff, and James was told to put them in a large jug of water with ten strands of his hair and drink it all. As James ran to the house he tripped and fell, the bag burst open and all of the little green things wriggled out into the ground. Little did he know, that the disaster would become the adventure of a life time.
James' Aunts told him to chop some wood.
He picked up the chopper and was just about to start chopping away when he heard a shout behind him that made him stop and turn.
"Sponge! Sponge! Come here at once and look at this!"
"At what?"
"It's a peach!" Aunt Spiker was shouting.
"I think you might be mistaken, my dear Spiker. That miserable tree never has any peaches on it."
"There's one on it now, Sponge! Look for yourself!"
The peach grew to about the size of a house. Aunt Sponge wanted to eat it but her sister, Spiker talked her out of it by telling her that if they showed off their huge peach; they could make a bunch of money from it.
That night, Sponge and Spiker was counting their money while James was picking up all the garbage the crowd left behind earlier. While James was picking up the trash he found a hole in the side of the peach. He looked inside, he crawled in. Farther and farther he went till he bumped his head on the pit. Then he found that there was a door in the pit, he pushed it, and it swung open.
Before he had time to look up and to see the creatures around him he heard one of the creatures tell the others to see who was here. James had never saw colossal spiders,ladybugs,grasshoppers,centipedes,earthworms,glow-worms, or silkworms before.
Next morning, he woke up to his new friends shouting and the peach lurching. The Centipede was biting through the stem of the peach so they could roll down the steep hill James lived on. Finally the stem was cut through, and that's where James' and his friend's adventure began.
I hope this makes you curious enough to borrow it from the library and read it. It really is a good read. I loved this book, There are more books like this by the same author.

Jack cought a rabbit!!!
I thought I should get a picture of Jack with his rabbit. Jack broke its leg and made a bald patch on its hip when he pulled though the fence, then he tore a hole in its neck.
Mum took this one, she said, "Jack looks happy in that one."
Jack wanted to eat it but he wasn't really hungry so he was nibbling little bits off. Soon, Flies and yellow jackets came and started feasting on the rabbit.
Eventually, we dug a hole hoping to make Jack put the rabbit in the hole...it didn't work. He was growling and snapping at the flies. He wouldn't let me near him. We had to come up with a plan. Finally, we came up with a plan...the laser pen.
It took about five minutes to get the rabbit to the hole. Jack grabbed the rabbit as soon as it was dropped into the hole. Then it took another two or three minutes to get Jack to let go of the rabbit. Dad told me to get the leash. By the time I got back, Dad was burying the rabbit.
Dad tried to get the leash on Jack, but he ripped the leash out of Dad's hand and shook it as if he was going to tear it to tiny bits. It took another three minutes to get Jack into the house.
Jack had rabbit blood on his shoulder, so he had to take a bath. He's all clean now.
METEORS!!!!
At one point, there was a HUGE one, well, maybe the size of a gulf ball or a pea...but it was AWESOME!!!!!! I should see if I can draw it...hmmm...lemmie see...here we go...
Sorry it's sideways, it wouldn't let me rotate it. Still looks cool though, doesn't it?

Backyard pictures
Mum was telling Jack to go in the house here.
This is kind of cool. I was going to show how big this tree was until Jack stepped in front of it.
This tree has to be like a hundred years old!!
This was the best one out of all of the sun rise pics I took.
I might post more nature pics later, right now I have to buckle down and finish my schooling, I should be done with school either this week end or next.

More about Jack
No matter how awesome Jack is, he still gets in trouble. In fact, for almost about a month he has been running off to the strip mall we have next door, the people are nice and sometimes help me with finding Jack. He has even gone across a very busy street! An old couple helped us out by distracting Jack, it worked.
This morning, Jack ran away (he mostly runs away from me) to the other side of the mall. I laid him down till he calmed down so I don't get bit, then I picked him up and carried him home.

Jack, Gordon and my schooling
Then later that night, Jack was laying in the kitchen out of the way, along came Gordon and he lunged over and on top of Jack, he didn't growl, bite, or snap, he didn't do anything. He just laid on his side with his head out of the way while Gordon was kissing him.
Jack understands that Gordon doesn't know much about dogs except they bark, howl, lick your face and bug bites. I knew better and I didn't treat him that nicely. Jack sometimes can get carried away and knock a little kid down, but that's only because he's excited.
Jack has been getting out of his yard and going to the bar next door. They have a wood pile and Jack says there's chipmunks in there. I have to teach him that I'm the boss, not him.
I think I'm almost done with school, I still have Grammar and math. Today, I'm going to work from 8:00a.m. to whenever I'm like, half way through the next unit.
*GASP* Oh no, a few more minutes till I have to start school. I still have to do chores and eat.
well, bye!

Miscellaneous
Today I will finish bible, now all I have to do is memorize Proverbs 3: 17-35. Then tomorrow I'll do Grammar. I have to finish school by the end of July, look at your calendar...not very far away, is it?
Earlier today Jack caught a baby blue jay, it was learning how to fly. OK,OK it was defenseless, but I'm always on Jack's side when it comes to hunting. Jack has only caught two bird in his whole life, we usually protect the birds from Jack. But we can't do anything about Killer, he catches them in the early morning hours when we're asleep, he's an outside cat.
For a couple of weeks, it started on Independence day, Jared (24) and I have been playing baseball. I call it Organic Baseball, because our yard has so many trees and bushes it's kind of hard to play it. But if you're the batter and you hit the ball in to the wild garden you'll be happy that your playing organic baseball.
Our bases are three cement blocks and a broken Frisbee as home base. First base is in front of a park bench, second base is the pitchers mount, and third base is a maple tree that makes a triangle with home and 2nd base.
Well, my break is over so I guess I need to get back to work so I can get done and play video games!!! I'm hungry too.

Our Cat Killer
Killer, the Siamese, has always been jealous of Jack. When Jack, the puppy, was sleeping Killer would sneak up on him and swat him.
This is how we named Killer:
It started, when I was 3 years old, Dad and I were walking out in the woods, on a Sunday morning, looking for any critters that we could catch and keep. We found Killer sleeping in our brush pile. He was (is I should say) so cute! Anyway, we were not very sure what gender he was, so we waited till we would know. We used to catch chipmunks in pipes and let them lose in the bathroom with the cats. (at that time we had two cats :Homer the manx, and Killer) Killer was still a little kitten then. He found what he thought was a chipmunk ( it was really a washcloth!) and walked away with it with it trailing between his legs and growling!
Now Killer kills real animals like birds, moles, and mice. We find 2 or 3 every morning.
Jack's favorite places to hunt
It all takes like 3-4 seconds, and while that's happening I'm cheering Jack on saying, "GOOD BOY, JACK, GOOD BOY!!"
This is the junk yard, Jack found a couple of chipmunks there. Also, in the center background is a mulberry tree, we have three of them.
Here is the brush pile we built for Jack. This is also where we found our cat killer. (I'll blog about him later) In here, there has been mostly rabbits.
End of the Western Empire
There was a little girl, her name was Lisa Jones. She was a tall 12 year old, with chin-length light brown hair, and hazel eyes.
Lisa had four brothers and two sisters and a nephew. K.C. was the oldest, he was 29 years old. He had dark brown hair, so dark it looked as though it was black. Jared who just turned 24, he was the next oldest, he had light brown hair with a neat, trimmed, beard. Jared's wife, Melissa, she was 23; she had chin-length thick, brown hair. Then there was Zechariah and Eli, they were also tall, 12 year olds with brown hair and hazel eyes. They were twins. Also, there was Gordon, he was only 1 years old, with thick short blond hair.
Lisa had a sister too, her name was Kimberly. Kim was 10, with reddish-brown hair, and blue eyes. Kim liked to ask questions sometimes.
Her family lived on a family farm, it had a big house and a barn in which they kept goats, chickens, and a Siamese Cat named Killer . Behind the farm was a gigantic forest.
One summer morning Zac, Eli, Lisa, and Kim were walking in the woods They heard some rustling and whining in the bushes.
"What's That?" asked Kim.
"I'm not quite sure." said Zac spoke in a low, quiet tone.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's find out. For all we know it could be an animal." said Eli boldly.
"OK. But I hope it's a tame animal." said Lisa.
Sure enough, it was an animal, but not what the kids expected. It was a puppy, all tied up in the bushes.
"Should we help it?" asked Kim.
"'Should we help it?'Of course we should help it! It's all tangled up!" Eli said with a raised voice.
"No, it's not tangled up, it's tied up. Like someone left it here to die." Noted Lisa.
"How do you know?" Asked Kim.
"Well," Lisa started. "It's tied up, I think there's some scratches in it's face, and there's no food, or water bowls here."
"Wow, you sound a bit like Hermione." Said Eli, trying not to laugh. They loved to read the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and pretended to be the characters sometimes.
"Honestly, why do you have to get off the subject, Eli?" Said Lisa in her English accent.
"OK, back onto subject, then." Said Zac. "I think we need to get Dad because he'll know what to do. I mean,-"
"Yeah, yeah, we know that story. We went outside, found a cat in out backyard, and kept it." Lisa rushed. "Now let's get Dad."
Ten minutes later everyone came leading Dad. Kim was leading by holding his hand.
"Right here, Dad. It's all tied up." Then Eli showed Dad where the puppy was tied up.

Fluffy, the toe biter
There are many other pictures of her but they were either too dark or too bright, so I just picked the best ones.
Then here's a picture to show how cute Fluffy is.
Fluffy died the other day so I buried her in the garden.
She will be missed. I think she died of starvation because she didn't eat anything I gave her. She's supposed to eat small fish and some insects. So I thought that she might eat a worm. I was wrong, so after three (almost four) weeks of having her, she died.

Some of Jack's habits
I'm sure all dogs have habits of some sort. Well, here's some of Jack's.
One is jumping onto the couch after coming in from a muddy yard. This one isn't as bad as other ones. He chews on fluffies (stuffed animals.) He has a teddy bear, I named it Crusty. He, also, like to like chew, lick, and pull the hair out of the cat. When he meets someone new or greets our family, he just jumps on them and says, "Hello, I love you!".
I'm sure there are many more, but I just can't think of any at the moment.
Oh yeah, he likes to jump the gate when I'm not paying attention, then he goes to the bar next door. Other times he likes to scare teenage girls!

Just a little bit ago, Jack and I were playing ball and hide and seek at the same time (one of Jacks favorite games). I threw the ball into the living room and ran into Mom and Dad's bedroom, I hid under Mom's favorite blanket (part of it was hanging down off the edge of the bed; it looked like I wasn't there. (I'm still a bit skinny.)
It took something like 5-10 minutes for Jack to find me. Jack looked up stairs (my room), the kitchen, everywhere. When he did find me, he sniffed the top of my head (still under the blanket) and Barked. It made me jump then I started Laughing. I find that so funny.
Please tell me what kind of stuff your dog (or JRT) does. Is it funny? Is it smart? I would like to know.

Jack And The Bathtub
Here's Jack playing in the bathtub! Every time I see him playing in the tub I laugh out loud (in a high pitched giggle as always). The last time I saw him playing like that was in the summer in the kiddy pool. Oh, he bites the garden hose kind of on command.
Now, after a bath, and I dry him off then he wants to get right back in, it's so funny.
Later, I hope to post a video of Jack and all the tricks we can remember.
Today, when Mom and I where shopping, we saw a training agility course for $40, then, we saw one for $20, there wasn't much in it. Both are expensive for Mom and Dad with the current events in our family. Plus Mom and Dad are kind of Tightwads. Mom talks about it a little in her blog, Gluten Free family.

and other fluffies.
I also have a baby doll that Jack likes to "baby sit" sometimes; he also likes to take my Barbie and Ken doll shoes and chew on them, then I have one shoe nice and pretty and the other shoe all chewed up and nasty.
Here is another picture with Jack and his own teddy bear.
This picture is around the time for Jack's nap. I thought it might be cute if I put Jack's teddy bear (Crusty)under his arm. It took like five tries before I got one of Jack with his eyes closed.

Jack and I
I feel like Jack is like a brother, we do a lot together like I showed you in one of my previous posts.
Mom says that when Jack says 'I love you!' when we come back from shopping or something, (and he's in the cage for an hour or so) he actually means 'I miss you!'
I have been wanting to post some pictures, but my upload speed kind of tends to be bad and if it is good then I might have a "client error" It gets me kind of mad.
Good night.

Things Jack likes to eat
Sometimes if Mom makes the pancakes on a school day, Jack will bug me until I follow him into the kitchen and give him one... then he'll be happy.
Mom will make banana bread today and I'm sure it will be REALLY good. I think Jack will be wanting some of that banana bread, but I'm afraid that he will be able to only have just a little bite of it, due to his low blood sugar. Which runs in the family. 80p
Jack LOVES peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I'll explain.
Dad would bring home bits of sandwiches for Jack and one time he brought a bite each of ground bologna and P&J I gave him a choice between the two and he picked the P&J.
It's cool to see how Jack is SO much like a little boy in a dog suit, or a little Brother.

What Jack did on Valentines Day.
The next day, I was watching my usual Saturday morning TV shows, and when Dad woke up Jack did, too; Jack jumped up onto the arm of our love seat, and started to give me kisses.
I believe that he understood that today was Valentines Day, and that people are to give gifts...and sometimes kisses.
Like I said in my first post, I know every one thinks that their dog is the most awesome and the most smartest dog in the universe. We are TOTALLY there!
Share with me what your dog does, from saying something or doing something. Does he (or she) give you hugs and kisses on command or when he wants to?

I gave Jack a bath today
This time I purposely put a floaty thing in the bathtub, which was a piece of a paper towel tube that I saved just for the occasion. (He riped it up for the fun of it.) I told Jack to get in the tub I few times, when without pushing him...he got in the tub! I praised him and praised him.
To make his hair REALLY smooth and soft, I use my hair conditioner on him.
I'm sure that every one tries to make their dog go into the tub for a bath, maybe this might help, try finding what YOU know that they like and will go after, maybe a ball or a floaty thing (a feather for bird dogs) maybe bribe them to get in the tub with a piece of food or cookie.
I hope this will help all of you clean dog lovers.

More about Jack
I wrote a report for school, it's called "How I got my best friend". In fact, here is my report; Sorry if it repeats what I already posted:
My best friend, I could say is my dog- brother Jack.
I was 6 years old when we decided to get a male, Jack Russell Terrier. Mom, dad, and I went to a house that bred JRTs; she was selling them for $250 each. I wanted one of Jack’s sister, but dad said that we had to get Jack.
I wasn’t very “nice” to him at first; I “purposely” stepped on him with high heeled shoes, I hit him with the fluffies that he would steal to chew and do other disgusting things with.
we are getting along together pretty well now, but we still fight.
We like to do the following together:
Play ball
Howl
Eat AND
Ask and give hugs and kisses.
He is the smartest Dog I have ever had, even though, he is 6 years old and talks like a 2 year old.
He says things like the following:
“Runaround”
“I love you”
“I love you, momma”
“I want one”
“I really want one”
“I don’t wanna”
And so on and so forth.

How I got Jack and what he did today.
We bought him for a lot of money! But he is totally worth every penny we got him with!!
Earlier today I gave Jack a bath, and he saw some sort of fuzz and it floats so he was REALLY interested in it so I said "Get it! Get it!" That didn't work, so I pushed him just a little. That made him go in. He tried to catch it. It was really funny; then it gave me an idea...put floaty things in the bathtub before I give him a bath! But after I started to wash him he wanted to get out.
I'm sure everyone thinks that their dog is the " above most awesome dog in the universe!!"... my family and I are TOTALLY there!!
